cdcd-dbg software package provides command line or console based CD player (debug), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cdcd-dbg
cdcd-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cdcd-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cdcd-dbg *
You will get with cdcd-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
